A good puppy food-the best you can afford to buy. This will help him grow strong bones and a healthy coat and teeth.

Probably some dog food. A puppy formula would probably work best.

Eukanuba puppy formula works very well…make sure it is made of lamb and rice and make sure he eats puppy food until he is one year old…also if he experiences any stomach trouble you can give him a little canned pedigree puppy food and mix in a little plain yogurt and it will help him a lot., this is actually a good thing to do even if he doesn’t exhibit any stomach trouble

purina one, iams, pedigree. those are some name brand dog foods. Whatever food you decide on, make sure it is for puppies. And they may also have different ones for big puppies (like dalmations) and little puppies (like shihtzus). Hope this helps!

If your puppy is old enough to eat dog food — be sure to feed it Puppy Food — pups need different nutrition than grown dogs.
Maybe you should get a book at the Pet Store as soon as possible. It is best to do research BEFORE getting a pet! Be sure to take the pup to the Vet for shots, etc.

Try to get your vet to suggest something, but some popular dog/puppy foods are : Castor & Pollux Natural Ultramix Puppy Formula, Nutro Natural Choice Ultra Puppy Food, Purina Puppy Chow Complete Nutrition Formula, Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy Formula, Bil-Jac Puppy Food, Nutro Max Large Breed Puppy Food, Nutro MAX Puppy Food, Iams Lamb Meal & Rice Formula Puppy Food, Pro Plan Puppy Food!

I feed my 2 pups Puppy Chow….I’d like to buy them something more expensive, but can’t.
The vet told me to not worry about it that Puppy Chow provides what they need. Also, he said it doesn’t hurt to give them good high protein table scraps…(ie: if it’s good for humans) excluding junk of course…
So….anyway, I had some homemade turkey noodle soup in the freezer….turkey, broth, carrots, celery, noodles…..I thawed it the other day and mixed it with their dry food….they loved it…..
Just don’t try to feed adult dog food…they hate it….I think they handle the smaller bites better….

Dalmatian Pups are very energetic; as you may have already learned, so they require good solid food as soon as possible following the mushy stuff you give for the first 10 weeks. Give them some bones, small enough to get there jaw around, while good for them, bones also help keep them active while not worrying you all the time.

Purina Dog Food for Puppies is a very good type for little guys like him or, if he isn’t enjoying it u can ask a vet 4 another kind.

Either Puppy Chow or Pedigree Puppy - they are both great! Any dog under the age of one year old should eat a quality puppy food as this is essential for proper growth and bone development!

Purina Puppy Chow, then depending on the breed and size, adjust accordingly, after 1 year old, puppy chow is to rich, sos hould be changed over to an adult food breed specific

Feed him Nutro Natural Choice puppy. It costs more but it is the best you can buy him. Just do not feed him chocolate!!!!!

I would stay away from Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Eukanuba, etc.
There are FAR higher quality food out there that do not contain by-products, sugars, grains, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, the list goes on.
I recommend Innova puppy (not the EVO). Your local feed store or high quality pet store (not Petco or Petsmart) will carry these foods. Heres Natura’s link. They make a few different formulas. Wellness and Eagle Pack are good too. These foods are human grade, high quality, and will have a tremendous effect on your dogs health throughout life. Good luck
Heres a list of the top dry foods…
Look at the ingredients lists of the links I have provided and compare to the commercial brands…. you wont have trouble deciding.
