Go to your vets & get your bitch checked out, see what your vet thinks as it could very well be something else ie STD, hereditry problems, unhealthy dam, dam &/or sire poor specimens of the breed, infections, age of the bitch (if bred too young could cause problems, if bred to old could cause problems) etc, etc. Lastly, if she was sold to you as a pet there was a good reason for that, she was not of the showing/breeding quality & there for should not of been breed. You should have done your homework before you even considered breeding, as soon as she came in season she should of been health tested (bloods, the works), & within the first 24-48 hours after giving birth you should of taken her & the pups to the vets to make sure everyone's healthy & she doen't have anymore pups or a retained placenta still inside. If she is a show dog though speak to your breeder & vet, only the vet can tell you what really happened (if you have the bodies of the pups take them to so the vet can do an ortopsy on them). If not, then there could have been something wrong with her that caused the pups to have something wrong with them that started making them weak and die, if not dead already. My suggestion is, is not to breed her again. The way it seems, it will probably happen again the second time.
