Hello

My name is Tchiyo (pronounced Chee-o). I’m a Dalmatian, thats me on the right when I was a little puppy dog, (my eyes aren’t really that colour, it’s a trick of the camera, so I’m told.) I’m 2 and a half now & came to live here when I was 7 weeks old.

Lots of people ask Mum about my name and she says she got it from a book and film called “Memoirs of a Geisha”. In the story a little scruffy urchin girl grows up to be a beautiful Geisha in Japan. She says she thought that maybe if she called me Tchiyo I might grow up to be a beautiful elegant lady one day. So far, apparently, I’m not showing any signs of doing that! Actually the little girl was called Chiyo but all Mum’s dogs names begin with T so she added that (like the silent T in Tchaikovsky).

My proper registered name is Marricdale Princess Peach because I was bred by a very nice, well respected Dalmatian breeder whose kennel name is Marricadale. My mother is called Rhuby Cube & my father is called Resurrection (also known as Ripley). I also have a famous uncle, Marricdale Mr Millionaire (Perkins to his friends).

I live in Hertfordshire in England with my Mum and my best friend Tinker. She’s a Jack Russell and you’ll see her popping up all over the place. Tinker is affectionately known as Tee-Wee ‘cos she’s so tiny. Tee-Wee teaches me lots of things being a bit older than me. But the funny thing is I seem to get in trouble for most of the things she tells me to do!

Anyway….We are always doing stuff and now I’m a big dog and I’ve learned to write I have decided to be a blogger dalmatian and tell the world about my life.

Here she is getting her feet wet at the beach in Wales at my first Christmas. We had great fun chasing seagulls & jumping in the waves. I got carried away & nearly ended up in Ireland!
